He claims that he’s not drinking or on drugs and that he’s been reading the Bible a lot. He says he did an audit of his personal and professional finances and found that people from his record company have been stealing from him.
At the same time, he says the IRS has frozen his bank accounts, leaving him penniless, and that he’s been sleeping at a Holiday Inn. He’s looking for an attorney to “take this all the way to the top” because his civil rights has been violated.
According to TMZ, his wife recently filed for divorce and he claims she’s been falsely accusing him of using meth and showing signs of paranoia. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department went to do a wellness check at his home last week and found that all was well.
He removed the video from his Facebook, but here it is on YouTube.
What do you think? Is he going off the deep end or just down on his luck?
Either way I feel bad for the guy.
This one time, over 10 years ago, Scott Stapp called my Program Director and left him a voice mail after I talked about him and his wife on the air. One of them had thrown a cell phone at the other – I don’t even remember who assaulted who – and he was apparently in the area at the time listening to the radio and heard it with his son in the car. I kinda felt bad, but at the same time, this was when Creed was still really popular so it was also kinda awesome.
