Oprah and I have the same idea on what to do after you finish something big – stay in your pajamas for the entire day. Sure, my accomplishments are great for me – but Oprah’s accomplishments are something that everyone knows about!
After Oprah signed off her talk show Wednesday for the last time she knew exactly what she was going to so – stay in her pajamas for the day.
Legit. She even tweeted about it.
“Staying in PJs all day. Getting my hair braided for summer vacation. Reading all your emails!”
I wasn’t a big Oprah fan – but as I took Wednesday off – I swear it was a mental health day that paired well with the beautiful weather by me – I watched her final show where he only guest was herself. The end of the show was bittersweet too…
“Gratitude is the single greatest treasure I will take with me from this experience,” Winfrey said, closing the show surrounded by her staff and her beloved cocker spaniel, Sadie. “I thank you for sharing this yellow brick road of blessings. I won’t say goodbye — I’ll just say, ‘Until we meet again.’”
Now I’ll just have to watch her television network – which has one of my fave shows playing (How I Met Your Mother) – to see what she is up to next.
O Oprah. I will miss you giving away trips, cars and make-overs to complete strangers who sit in your audience on a daily basis. But I will miss even more hearing the commentary about the previous day’s show in the break room during my lunch.
Now. How do I get my own talk show so I can rake in millions!?
Contrary to what some people believe – I actually do like Lady Gaga; I just think that she dresses ridiculously.
But what I think doesn’t matter much because she has managed to bump Oprah from Forbes Annual Celebrity 100 list. Yup, Oprah was knocked out of the top spot for the third time in the last seven years.
Gaga got to the #1 spot because she has mastered all media. Seriously. She has everyone knowing who she is – thanks to her ridiculous outfits that I cannot stand.
There was $90 million earned from her monster tour, 32 million Facebook fans, 9.5 million Twitter followers – aka Little Monsters – who downloaded 1 million digital copies of “Born This Way” in just five days. And don’t leave out that people are also happy to buy MAC makeup, Monster headphones and the Virgin Mobile phones that she features in her videos.
Other celebs on the list this year following Lady Gaga at #1 and Oprah at #2 are Justin Bieber #3, U2 at #4, Sir Elton John at #5, Tiger Woods at #6, Taylor Swift at #7, Bon Jovi at #8, Simon Cowell at #9 and at #10 is Lebron James.
I’m all for getting revenge – but it is a dish best served cold, not on Oprah.
Maria Shriver went on Oprah’s show yesterday to help her celebrate the final shows of Oprah after 25 years before a crowd of 15,000 people – many of which were on the A-list.
Maria didn’t use her estranged husband’s name at all, but the comment that she made to Oprah let us all know what she was thinking. “You have shown love, support, wisdom, and most of all,” she said, with a big, meaningful pause, “the truth.”
Seriously. I want her to get as much as she can out of Arnold but doing it on Oprah is not a good idea, she has more class than this and she needs to show it. That means, in my opinion, she needs to hate him and let her kids make their own decisions. After all, their son Patrick has already changed his name on Twitter from Schwarzenegger to Shriver. Lines have been drawn here!
This is going to be a good public fight – we haven’t been able to watch anything that was going to be this good since Jon & Kate Plus 8 booted Jon from the picture.
Let the games begin.
Sarah Palin and Kate Gosselin on the same show. What kind of crack was the TLC Executive who pitched that, smoking?
Paris wasn’t invited to Nicole’s Wedding?
Chelsea Handler Tweets a Picture of her and 50 in bed together.
Hugh Jackman gets jacked up doing a stunt for Oprah.
Oh yeah I can’t wait for more couch jumping action… May 2nd & 5th Tom Cruise will be on Oprah – yes, he’s getting a 2-part special! The first part will be taped at his home in Telluride, CO and the second part will be taped in Oprah’s studio. They’re going to be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Risky Business and a bunch of special guests are going to show up to surprise Tom.
I hope they don’t do something cheesy to re-create the magic of the day he jumped on the couch… that was pure spontaneous genius, not something that can be produced.
