Patrick Dempsey is planning on leaving Grey’s Anatomy after season 8 – which menas this is his last season.
Patrick’s contract is up at the end of next season, and while he’s unsure how the characters will be – he knows that he won’t be returning for another season of McDreamy.
“It’s gonna be my last,” Dempsey says. “I do not know what’s going to happen to the other characters, but for me it’s done.”
Shonda Rhimes, the creative mind behind the show, commented on the future for all of the remaining original cast members… “It might be the last hurrah for a lot of them; you never know,” she told TVLine.com. “Everybody has an individual choice to make and I get that.”
I can’t lie – I’m kind of over Grey’s Anatomy at the moment because the story line is just becoming ridiculous, and Big Bang Theory is much better to me. Yet watching McDreamy and McSteamy is still nice when I can’t sleep!
