Charles Barkley was arrested for DUI last night.

Basketball legend Charles Barkley has been arrested for drunk driving.
The 45-year-old former hoops star – who now plans to run for political office – was stopped after allegedly running a red light in Scottsdale, Arizona, at 1.30am.
Officers who pulled him over then took him to a nearby mobile command post for a blood test after he declined to give a breath test, according to police.
Barkley was issued a citation for driving while impaired and released pending the results, which normally takes about a week.
“He was very nice and professional,” police Lt. Eric Shuhandler said, adding he entire arrest process took place without incident, and Barkley was civil and cooperative throughout. He left in a cab.
“There was nothing unusual about how he was taken into custody,” Shuhandler said. “He was treated exactly like we treat anybody else.”
For a first offense, someone found guilty of the charge Barkley faces might expect between one to 10 days in jail, and the suspension of driving privileges.

I would have to imagine based on the mug shot that the results will show he was intoxicated… and then how about them plans to run for office??

Matt Dillon was arrested in Vermont last night for going 106mph down 91… That’s 41 miles over the speed limit.  It’s called criminal speeding.  Damn.  Had he been further south on 91 he would have been in my great  state of CT and one of our state trooper friends would have pulled him over… Anyway, just glad he didn’t hurt anyone.  That’s quite fast.
