DJ AM was laid to rest yesterday at a private burial service in West LA.  Last night friends and family gathered at the Palladium for a memorial service.

This is SO disturbing!  DJ AM survived a plane crash last year in which 4 other people DIED… I mean he pretty much CHEATED death… you’d think that would make one cherish life and appreciate all he had… but instead he popped a bunch of pills and now he’s dead.

This is all speculation, but there were apparently some prescription pills found in his hotel room and he hadn’t been seen or heard from in a few days.

His last Twitter post on Tuesday:

“New York, New York. Big city of dreams, but everything in New York ain’t always what it seems.”

DJ AM attended the memorial service for Chris Baker – Travis Barker’s assistant who was killed in the plane crash 9 days ago.  Travis was just released from the hospital… DJ AM was released the other day.

You can’t see much, but that burn on his neck looks awful… and it looks like his fingers are messed up too.  What a terrible thing to go through… luckily it looks like his face wasn’t burned – that would be the hardest thing (injury-wise) to recover from I think…
