Yeah so the Jonas Brothers canceled their concert in Tampa last night… an hour and a half after the show was supposed to start!!
It rained like crazy, we even waited to leave for the show because the storm was so bad. We couldn’t drive down our friends’ flooded street! We finally got to the concert at 7:30, a half hour after it was supposed to start. Then we start getting texts that the show is postponed, then that there’s waist-deep water in front of the stage!! They ended up calling the show off at 8:30!! Bedtime!! So we still got home late but with disappointed children!!
Yeah act of nature I guess but don’t they have a drainage system at the 1-800-ASK-GARY Amphitheater. Yeah seriously, that’s the name of the outdoor concert venue here.
Nick posted video from the stage. We heard all the screams but most people never even made it inside the venue! We were still standing in line in the parking lot. When word was official that the show was off the kids were so upset!! One little girl we talked to in line had 5 friends with her – they surprised her with tickets to the show with her friends!! Sad day!
And apparently they are not coming back.

1i know- we had front row tickets. our seats were pretty much under water and we waited and waited to see what was going to be the final out come. we were there for the sound check and while the rain fall started… i’m out $$ because i bought my tix though tickets now and they do not refund for “acts of God” and since they are a 3rd party vendor… let’s just say i’m out$$ so i paid an arm and a leg, and a liver and a spleen for some jonas blankets that we got in our VIP bags… at least the blankets are soft… but it doesn’t soften the blow my credit card statement ;( i’ll never go to the amphitheater for a show again… unless it’s a jonas reschedule… holding my breath for that though ;/

2My wife two daughters and I drove over two hours to Tamapa a birthday surprise for my girls. We sat there for over two hours just t find out no show. I understand why they canceled and i agree safety is important. But two things are really making me mad. First why was it that the Jonas brothers them self’s didn’t come out to tell us the show was canceled, why it was some stage hand. And why less then an hour after the show was canceled they already said there was no rescheduling the show. Its almost as if after canceling they said well who cares we will cut are loses and move on. I guess there are plenty of other places for them to make there money and there fans really don’t matter to them. All I know is that I will not go to another Jonas brothers concert or a Tampa amphitheater show.

3I agree with Sean. These fans stood out in the rain for over two hours. JB themsleves should have come out and greeted the fans. Whether it was behind the fence or if they stood on their tour bus..something. My daughter gave up everything for her birthday and just wanted to see JB. She couldn’t even pull it together to go to school today. They owe their fans more respect then that.

4Please don’t blame the Jonas Brothers for this. They were all on the stage at one point, and it wasn’t just some stage hand that told us. It was their dad! You don’t know the back story. Maybe they were so upset about it, that they couldn’t come up and tell us. Did you ever think of that?? And they’re trying to reschedule. And for the person who ssaid they got all the soundcheck and VIP, at least you got to see the soundcheck! Many people didn’t even get into the building. Be thankful you were under cover. I love the JOnas Brothers, and I’m just patienltly waiting for them to come back and perform for us! I’m as sad (or sadder) as anyone else, but we can’t change anything. Just PLEASE don’t blame the band, blame the venue.

5Loving Fan, you are sweet, but they ARE NOT rescheduling. It would be nice if they were, but I don’t think they care to. No one is blaming the band, but it would have been nice of them to address the crowd somehow. They could of made this happen if they wanted to. Again, I would LOVE them to reschedule, if they did this, they would earn alot of respect and fans back. We’ll see…

6I think you all need to stop crying. Jonas Brothers are a bunch of flamers, your 14 year old kids shouldn’t still be listening to them. It’s pathetic that your daughter can’t get out of bed after them cancelling a show due to RAIN. This whole obsession over crappy pop music was cool in the 90′s, but now it’s getting a bit overboard.

7My best friend who went said that she saw the band up on the stage for like 5 seconds and they looked really sad. Even Joe Jonas tweeted that he was really bummed out about not playing. Maybe they couldnt reschedule it beacause it would put a set back on the other states concerts. Ever think of that? I’m sure they WANTED to rescedule it just as much as we anted them to. I understand many of you lost money in the process, but that just shows how dedicated we are. We spent our well earned money to go see them perform. And you never know, maybe next year they’ll plan something really special for us (:
