Suzanne, if you read the many many many headlines and stories, watch the TV news – both the “respectable” news and the tabloid shows, it was probably 90% anti-Michael… He was convicted by the media and therefore by the people of this country before the trial even started. I used to think the UK was bad with the tabloids but I think we’ve surpassed them here… It’s really made me think.

So in the USA even if you are found not guilty in a court trial people still see you as guilty? I don’t get this.

Michael Jackson settled with the Chandler family because his lawyers adviced him- he wanted to fight. Michael was found not guilty in the criminal trial-also about money because the Arvizo’s were hoping it would lead to a civil trial-more money. All the people around Jackson were hoping for a conviction because this was the only way they could make any money -there was a lot of money to be made(including the media). I can’t imagine how traumatized poor Michael must have felt. RIP-Michael.
