Ya know, this morning, Kyla and I, while listening to KidzBop on the way to school, were talking about things to remember... ... being nice to everyone... ... being a friend to everyone even when they're not so friendly to you... ... washing your hands every time you go potty... It's funny how trends happen. It's Hannah for now. Last month, it was Care Bears... Barbies? That was so 3 months ago - in HER mind... which like any five year old... GIRL mind... change with the weather, ya know? IMHO - there are FAR worse things for her to be 'in' too than some Disney shows. In fact, knowing some of the Disney people like I do from this business, I'll tell you this: there's no brand more protective of their wholesome kid-safe image than the Mouse House. Let's let kids be kids. Jeez. I'm living my childhood again thorugh mine. You should try it sometime... :) Tonight, I'll have her make a video for you guys while she's watching Hannah before she goes to bed. Maybe she'll lecture you guys on being 'nice'. Amazing... how grown ups sometimes can't even do what kids seem to have mastered... I'll say this. Dana and I have an amazing little girl. I don't mind sharing her with the world. She doesn't mind it either. And, Dana and I both know when to pull the cord and keep certain things private when it comes to Kyla. And, I'm no expert on parenting, but I'll put our - individually and collectively - up against any ones. Any time. Any where. We do the best we can. And, all I have to do is kiss her forehead before she goes to sleep, see her smile at me with her eyes closed, to know I'm doing alright. I bet it's the same when she's with her mom.
