   They totally would have done this if GWB was president. He’s been compared to a monkey so many times it’s ridiculous!

   GWB was the most ridiculed president of all time and was shamefully disrespected – this cartoon is tame considered to what was written about him. I understand a monkey is stereotypically racist against black people but come on – do you really think a major newspaper would intentionally make a racist insult about Obama? Yeah right. I think most people don’t really notice/care that Obama is black. It’s 2009, not 1969.

   Come on…how in the world is this racist? I simply means someone with the brains of a freaking monkey must have wrote the stimulas bill. Quite trying to turn anything negative about President Obama into something racist. Good Lord !

   I live in Atlanta and some Bush hater bought a billboard and put up a picture of Bush that made him look like a chimp. On the sign they wrote “Bush the chimp”
   If Sharpton wants to march against rasism then he should start with rap music!

   You can try to argue all you want that it’s not racist and that they made fun of GWB and called him a chimp, but given the history of this country and the stereotypes, racist slang, etc. it was just in really poor taste and somebody should have thought better of it… Plus, it’s not even that funny anyway.

    This coming from the woman who posted a picture of people throwing shoes at a blow up of GWB and thought it was hilarious…you want to talk about respect? You only care about respect when it has to do with someone you like. The problem with people is that they try to make everything about race. Don’t try to turn it into something that it’s not, it’s a monkey…GWB was called MUCH worse.

    You are kidding that you’re offended by this aren’t you?! Where have you been the last eight years when pure hate was spewed at GWB? The Congress wrote the stimulus bill not Obama. The bill is so bad only a crazy chimp could of written it as the cartoon states. I thought it was fitting for the times we are living in, CRAZY TOWN. Wake up America! Pray Obama comes to his senses and stops spending our money like he wants to ruin this country. This bill will not work and thank God some of the media are slowly waking up.

    GWB is evil incarnate and deserved every bit of ridicule he got and then some. Obama, while not perfect, has so far proved to be a drastic improvement and the NYP should have thought this one out more carefully.

    People hated GWB for a reason. Many reasons in fact. This isn’t a political blog and I am not a political expert by any means, but it blows my mind that there are still people in this country who believe in what Republicans have done, do, want to do, and stand for. It is beyond ridiculous. I don’t necessarily think that the “stimulus” plans and “bail outs” are going to work, but lets be serious, the majority of people who are in HUGE trouble right now financially are there because they bought way too much – a home, cars, televisions, boats, vacations, and all kinds of other things on CREDIT – I’ll pay for it later…. I mean do you know anyone who actually OWNS all of their nice shit, like paid for all of it?? There aren’t many!! And most people aren’t ever going to crawl out of that debt, so something had to change… I don’t know, it’s just crazy. At least Obama is trying to do something about it instead of being in denial. And don’t even get me started on the whole health care situation – have you seen Sicko?? We watched it again the other night… and I kind of stopped worrying about the fact that I don’t have health insurance right now because if I were to get sick, I’d probably be F’D EITHER WAY!! OK I have things to do now.
