   There are ten billion moral reasons why not but mostly because Hollywood or a star would honestly think this situation is entertaining that I say, what the heck, go for the gusto and make more actors take over the roles of Asian, Greek, Jew, French, Spanish, Hindu, Muslim, Greek, Indian and so on in this film, despite their normal race.. because it’s soooo damn funny to mimic another race and get caught in a dangerous situation, where you are caught acting like you are another race.

   I don’t get it. Is his character in the movie a white man pretending to be black? Or is his character in the movie a black guy? If it is the latter, then that is just the dumbest thing I have heard this week.

   So, I think that’s a little strange…
   He kinda looks like Don Cheadle… so… maybe they should have cast Don Cheadle for the role instead.

   i’m with dana, if eddie murphy can play a white guy, and they made the movie “White chicks” why can’t he play a black guy? it’s the same thing, seems like african americans can get by with more than white people…although i’m not sure why they let him do that in a seemingly serious movie.

   One of the other writers on Highbrid Nation wrote about Robert Downy playing a black man. He worries that Al Sharpton might have something to say about it, lol. Honestly as a black person I think it’s kinda cool that movie make-up has gotten to the point where you can make someone look like another race and if the pics I’ve seen of Robert Downy in costume are accurate than they did a really good job! Plus Robert is a very capable acotr so I’m sure he wont come across as stereo typical or offensive. I could be wrong though.

   I guess the movie is a comedy and he’s playing a white man who changes the color of his skin for an acting role. Still not sure how I feel about it…

    black ppl get by with far more than white people because they play the “racist” card continuously. if a white person did that ppl would just laugh. i just have to shake my head it’s like, black and white ppl talk so much about “let’s ignore skin color” but both parties bring up racial issues constantly! it’s ridiculous. if anyone was serious they’d just forget it altogether. we all have steriotypes about each race and it’s stupid because it’s about character and not color. and you dont know me well enough to say i’m ignorant, i think you mean that you thought my comment was ignorant, nice going.

    also what i meant by they can get away with more is what i said right in that first comment–black people have made lots of movies where they pretend to be white. so when a white guy does it it becomes a big issue? did i break it down enough for ya Desiree?
