This is not celebrity dirt so if you’re one of those people who doesn’t care about me or my life or you get annoyed when I post stuff about myself, skip this and keep your comments to yourself because I’ll delete them anyway – kapish?
Anyway, I mentioned in a post the other day that my daughter had to go to the ER to have something removed from her nose… She is notorious for putting things in her nose – carrots, peas, a polly pocket shoe – but she’s always told me and we’ve managed to get the things out. I also haven’t caught her attempting to put things up there in a while so I’m pretty sure she’s grown out of that phase… but something was STILL UP THERE and my boyfriend just solved the mystery the other day and we took her to the doctor right away… they couldn’t get it out or even see it, so they told us to find a specialist… or go to the ER -so I took her to the ER at CT Children’s Medical Center. Say what you want about health care today, but this place was great… immaculate, friendly, caring, professional. Â
Anyway, if you want to read the rest of the story I just posted it here!  You can go to the Jan. 9 post to read the beginning of the story.

5I have heard of kids doing that and it being up there for months! I am so glad none of mine did that! I am also glad that you all figured it out and everyone is ok. I’m sure it was harder on you than her! (I like your stories, keep it up!)

6wow..thats amazing that it finally just clicked on your boyfriend googling it and what not! isn’t it werid how things come about?
I’m glad she recovered from this well! My son is 4 and he had to get stitches last year after biffing it at a local water park and we had to hold him down to get stitches in his chin and it was awful!

7OMG she’s adorable!
My nephew had all the same things going on… He was rolling little balls of cotton from his fav. blanket and stuck them up his nose. It’s weeks before anyone knew what was going on…It sounds like the exact same thing. He would do it a nap time or bedtime. He had the stinky breath and all!!! Good lunck!

8and then there was the time my kid decided his cheerios belonged up his nose… thank God he had a cold and they kept coming right back out. And then he’d eat them. *sigh* We stopped eating cheerios for a looooong time in this house… he’s finally stopped. Of course, he’s 14 now… :)

13My brother stuck a light bright peg in his nose when he was 8. Good thing my stepmom was home, she made him blow his nose and it came out. Scary though. Now a mother and stepmother of 6 boys I can only imagine what they will put me through. Good luck!

15So glad it all worked out! Poor thing..it wasn’t just stinky breath! My daughter never put anything up her nose, but I did. Remember pop beads? I stuck a few up there and had to have them removed. My best friend’s daughter, who is 4, stuck a Polly Pocket shoe up her nose and had to have it removed. It happens!!!

16Oh yeah..my brother used to stick pieces from that old game “operation” up his nose and my parents would have to take him to the ER to get them removed.

19So are we supposed to guess what was up her nose? Did they know what it was? Or did I miss something? LOL Now I also wonder if this is why my daughter (19mos) has been having a runny nose and my son says her breath stinks! LOL
