My boyfriend and I watched American Idol after I got home from work last night, and we had a little debate - well, actually it got a little heated - over whether or not this “precocious” girl should have gone to Hollywood.

The judges said no… I agreed with them… and my boyfriend argued that she should have gone because her voice was good, she could definitely sing, and they let other people go who weren’t nearly as good as her… I think she sucked to begin with, add to that the ridiculously annoying personality, she just wouldn’t have done well at all…

I found these pictures of Lynne Spears and her son Bryan leaving UCLA Medical Center, and someone had posted that Lynne needs to be reminded of her age - and stop wearing Jamie Lynn’s clothes!

I defended Lynne on what she’s wearing because I am 30 and I still shop at Forever 21 and Hollister, and places like that… and sometimes I feel like I’m buying stuff that is too young for me but it’s cute and it makes me feel young!  What do you think?

From Life & Style…  They have more on why Britney ended up going to the hospital last night and the plan of action her parents are hoping to take. 

At least Mr. & Mrs. Spears are finally being freaking parents.

“Britney’s family knows that her life will never be right until she gets help,” says the insider. “They’ve been working on this for the last month. [Her mom] Lynne’s return to LA was the first step.

“They’re afraid her body is shutting down. She hasn’t been eating for almost a week. She can’t sleep, even though she’s been taking sleeping pills. She stopped taking her medications because she thought they weren’t working.”

Speaking of her body shutting down, Britney was photographed buying laxatives at a Rite Aid pharmacy in LA on Jan. 29. “Along with not sleeping, she hasn’t been going to the bathroom. She’s been peeing, she just hasn’t been, you know, going to the bathroom,” says the insider.

As for what went down at Brit’s house this morning, “The shrink went to Britney’s house. Brit thought it was for a session, but the doctor explained, ‘Honey, after 60 hours without sleep you can start to hallucinate. If you’re out there driving under those conditions, you are a danger to other people on the road. You’ve got to go to the hospital for help.”

The insider adds, “Another part of this plan is to get Sam Lutfi out of her life. Her whole family thinks he’s one of the biggest problems in here life. So it was no accident that Lynne went to the hospital with [her on-again-off-again boyfriend] Adnan [Ghalib]. It was a message to Sam to make it clear that he’s not calling the shots. And then Sam got turned away at the hospital.”

Halle Berry shouldn’t be wearing that see through shirt… If Britney did it we’d be all over her sh*t so I’m saying it… I mean, at least Halle’s wearing a big ol’ bra under it but sheer isn’t good while pregnant…  

I guess it distracts from the mop-top.  I don’t like that hair at all!!!!

Rihanna and other celebrities have teamed up with H&M (love them) to design a line of clothing of which 25% of the profits go directly to the fight against AIDS worldwide.

H&M has launched “Fashion Against Aids” . H&M and Designers Against AIDS are joining forces in the battle against AIDS and are launching a collection for guys and girls together with Rihanna, Timbaland and other well-known designers, musicians and artists. The aim is to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS, which affects many young people all over the world. The collection “Fashion Against AIDS” will be available in H&M’s Divided departments from February 2008.

The idea for this joint venture was initiated by Designers Against AIDS (DAA), a non-profit organization that seeks to mold public opinion through collaborations with fashion designers, musicians and other artists. The desire behind the collection is to draw attention to and increase young people’s awareness of HIV/AIDS. Twelve million people in the 15-24 age group are now infected with the virus.

The artists donated their services, and 25 percent of the proceeds from the collection will go to  HIV/AIDS prevention projects around the world. This will be coordinated by DAA and YouthAIDS, Population Services International’s HIV/AIDS prevention initiative, which reaches more than 600  million young people in 60 countries.

The collection features T-shirts, tank tops and hooded sweaters. All the garments feature an original print, and the neckline label carries the name of the designer. Some of the prints are subtle and “whisper” the message such as Good Charlotte’s design which includes a young couple under a red umbrella. Other prints raise their voices, including Katharine Hamnett’s “Use a Condom!” and “Stop and Think” messaging in big, black, block lettering. Tiga’s checkered print calls for quiet reflection, highlighting multiple squares in a different color to represent those that are living with HIV/AIDS. The message behind the campaign is summed up by Henrik Vibskov’s print design which states, “Be aware – it is still happening.”For more information please visit H&M.

Are Paris Hilton and Elisha Cuthbert going to be the new Ellen & Portia??

Ha, just kidding… but they were apparently sucking face on Tuesday night at Tenjune in NYC… this just days after Paris was seen at a lesbian bar in Hollywood all over some chick…

She must be sick of men right now, taking a break… whoring around with girls for a change.  It’s been a while since we’ve seen any of Paris’s girl on girl antics.

A video taken at a SAG Awards after party in 2006 shows Heath Ledger talking to other celebrities admitting he smoked 5 joints a day for 20 years… he also says his girlfriend is going to kill him because they just had a baby three months ago, and it apparently shows a man snorting drugs off a table.

A TV station in Australia is set to run the video tonight despite an uproar from the Hollywood community… Entertainment Tonight was also going to run the video but they decided not to for now - even though they supposedly paid $200,000 for it.

We’ll see… I mean, if the guy smoked a bunch of weed, so what… I don’t necessarily condone that, but it doesn’t mean he overdosed or killed himself by any means.  Even if he did some coke - which I definitely despise - it doesn’t mean he overdosed or killed himself.  The most likely explanation to me - he was sick, couldn’t rest, and took medications he shouldn’t have been taking together and it had tragic consequences… but from what we’ve learned of him it just doesn’t seem like he was a serious drug addict or someone who wanted out.  Just the fact that he was on that video acknowledging that he should be upstairs with his girl and baby shows he had a conscience about it… Of course the people closest to him know the truth - I’m sure Michelle Williams, Jake, whoever he was closest to, know in their hearts what went wrong but we’ll never know.

I just think it is really sick how all these news agencies are doing everything in their power to beef up the scandal side of it…
