He says,  “I kind of play this self obsessed wannabe rock star. You know a guy that really takes himself too seriously.â€
So basically he is playing himself, only the dude he is playing is a wannabe rock star as opposed to a wannabe rap star. Coolness!!

1Wouldn’t that be fantastic if his career suddenly took off and surpassed Britney’s? Could happen… I never thought that he would prove to be the better parent.

I believe they both are playing their sons as pawns – however at the same time, I think Kevin is just taking the smarter approach with Britney. You give people enough rope and they’ll hang themselves & she continuously does.
