According to the Daily Mail, THE SPICE GIRLS reunion tour is on!! Seriously? I guess maybe they were more popular in the UK than they were here… but I find it hard to believe that they’re actually going to sell tickets.
They better hope they do, because each of the girls is being paid $10 million… well, 10 million European dollars, whatever that translates to here, but still – it’s a sh*tload of money.
Kelly Clarkson can’t even sell tickets here, and The Spice Girls are going to try??

4I remember walking home from middle school singing some Spice Girls song… They made a movie, wasn’t that enough pain for the world to go through. What’s next, a Hanson reunion tour???

5I’m from the Netherlands and i can tell you that they were really big here. Every girl knew their dances with the songs. I think that there will be a lot of those girls who like to see their former idols again.

7For the record, I know there is no such thing as a “dollar” in Europe… I just couldn’t remember off the top of my head what their money is called… and does the L symbol stand for euros or pounds? It’s pounds right? And I don’t even know how to make that symbol with my keyboard… so sorry to offend, I’m really not that stupid LOL – I know its not called a dollar!

9Dana…
L – (I don’t have the pounds symbol on my keyboard) = British money – Pounds- are worth more than euros and even much more than US dollars… YIKKESS!! I was thinking they were getting paid in euros and that would have been more than US dollars- about 70 cents to the euro… the British pound is worth almost double to the US dollar… SOOO… double YIKEESS!!! They are getting a pretty penny for doing this tour…

11nonono 10 million dollars is 5 million pounds (£) and i have no doubt that they will sell out all of their tickets in the uk – theyre reportedly doing 7 dates worldwide. to give you an idea of how popular they were, they sold out wembley stadium on more than one night meaning that they probably sold out close to 200,000 seats just on those nights!

12The Daily Mail article says they are getting paid 10 million POUNDS each which, at today’s exchange rates, is equal to approx $20 million each.
And people will pay to see them WHY??

18If the Spice Girls do come to the United States, I bet they will sell tickets, they probably won’t sell out, but I bet they will sell enough! Its funny girls that will buy tickets will probably be around the ages of 17-21 because when the Spice Girls were popular, back in the 90′s everyone was 10-14… now all their fans have grown up! 10-14 year olds today probably don’t even know who the Spice Girls are!

27I’ve been waiting my whole life for this! I’m an american, and have always loved the girls, and I honestly dont think i can afford any tickets…I want to go so bad, but they’re only 3 US dates….and i’m not close to any of them….why couldn’t they have gotten a Kansas City, or St. Louis show?
LA, Vegas, and NYC…..thats gay.
but anywho….what exactly is their official site? Supposedly only certain people can get the tickets.

32haha Dana you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about. You apparently have no idea how big the Spice Girls were in the US. Look up their record sales and than you tell me they weren’t big. And see how many number ones they have. And to put them next to Kelly Clarkson is just retarded. The Spice girls are a lengend of the 90′s. Girls EVERYWHERE loved them. I remember in elementary school we used to play spice girls and girls would actually try out to be the girls and I was the one who picked who was who. They were absoutly amazing. They’re movie was awesome. I love Kelly Clarkson but they’re not similar in anyway. The Spice Girls were all about Girl Power!!! And their messages to girls were good unlike today with Britney Spears ( who i love ) but its true. Britney is a horrible rolemodel. The Spice girls kicked serious ass in their day and I know their reunion/final tour is gonna be exactly the same. So yeah that’s what I thought. lol
